　　Google一直都提供"高级搜索"功能，不过我相信有不少人在平时的搜索里，都会懒得去用它，因为需要多几次点击。在"高级搜索"里，其实有一项非常实用，那就是我们可以限定搜索的日期范围。你可以指定Google只搜索过去3个月、6个月或一年里更新过的网页，这样你就可以得到相对较新的搜索结果了。

　　一直以来，Google都是按照[color=#8B0000]最后一次获取网页的时间来界定网页的更新日期[/color]的。现在根据Matt Cutts的确认，Google已经更改了算法，将网页更新日期重新定义为Google爬虫首次发现网页的时间（即比Google正式索引网页的时间更前）。这意味着现在我们再使用高级搜索里的限定日期范围搜索功能，我们将能得到更多、更新的信息。

Google improves search for fresh documents
Previously, I believe Google estimated the age of a url as the last time that we fetched that page. Given how quickly Google refreshes its main index, that didn’t mean quite as much recently. Now for date-based search, Google estimates url ages by the first date that we saw a url.
